The Ultimate
passion project
House of Juniper is the ultimate 3 year passion project. In 2018, Mike felt The Homeland of Scotland calling him back after years of living in London.
The motorbike mechanic and his partner, Francesca, a primary school teacher, uprooted their lives to lovingly restore the Manse to its former glory and build the bespoke cabins with the help of a small, outstanding and dedicated team.
The Manse was stripped back to the bare stone walls; floors and ceilings removed. After sitting empty for decades, she was in need of some much deserved attention. The restoration was painstaking and a total pleasure.
Our
Staff
We searched far and wide to find the best staff for House of Juniper and we certainly found that in Chris and Tracey. They are both incredibly hard working, kind and fun. Chris is our general manager and cocktail maker extraordinaire. He has lived on Skye for many years and is proud to call it home. Tracey is our Head of Housekeeping and keeps us going with her wit. We are looking forward to introducing you to more staff in future.
Why is it called
House of Juniper
Our business is named after our wonderful and silly dog! Juniper is our miracle pup, having survived a life-threatening heart condition as a puppy, she’s our walking companion and a fabulous business partner!
Each room in the Manse is named after the key people who played a role in making your stay possible; to each of them we will be eternally grateful.
